MES 20071012 Analog Smoke today - Ribeye Roast

I have had this smoker for about 9 months and have not had any good results.  I recently purchased an AMAZN Tube Smoker for it  and plan on using it today.

So any tips on using an MES with the AMAZN tube?  Where do I put it in the smoker?  Do I put chips in?

Let me know.  I plan on starting the smoke around 1PM local time.
