Member: Fire it Up...update

Hello everyone, if had a heck of a time starting this thread but here goes. My name is Lisa, and actually I don't smoke meats but my brother did. He was a very active member of the board for a while. Fire it Up aka Jim passed away October 22nd 2014, I mostly came upon this board to just see his postings and his photos from before, but I know he was close to some of you way back when and maybe he crosses your mind once in a while and this way you know why he hasn't come back. I certainly miss his talent with the smoker, burnt ends and pastrami bites were my favorite! If by chance you have a memory or anything you'd like to share feel free, it was so long ago I can understand if you don't. I hope everyone is well! And my apologies that this doesn't follow the typical guidelines of this thread

Sorry to hear about your brother!

I think it would be great if you would carry on his smoking legacy.

I'm sure you could learn to make those burnt ends & pastrami bites!

I sorry to here this news Lisa, But thank you for sharing it with us. Jim what a great guy, we spent many a night in chat talking about all sorts of things from gardening to smoking and anything in between.
I always wondered what happened to him, but now that I know, I'll be thinking of him every time I fire up the smoker.
