One memory I’d like to forget was a new Meatloaf recipe My wife tried awhile back. It had carrots and some other things in it and I was hard to choke down. I covered it in ketchup and it was still tough to eat.

Should have covered it in gravy.

I figured if I would have asked my wonderful wife to make gravy from the juice it would have tasted like carrots so I went with ketchup. We don’t keep jar gravy in our house so that wasn’t a viable option.

Everytime I've smoked a meatloaf people are so surprised with the flavor.
I use a dead simple recipe. Ground beef and eggs and bread crumbs like usual and nothing else in the meat. Then I roll it out flat and thin and spread on sweet baby ray's BBQ sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese. Roll it up and pinch it shut like a cinnamon roll and set it on some foil and smoke away. Amazing.
