Maverick Redi-Check ET-73 question

Just got this remote thermometer in today. Works great except the remote receiver seems to only work within a 5 foot range from the transmitter. The manual says it should be 100 feet? Before I return It, did I miss something? :confused:

Maybe you got a bad battery in the tx or the rx. Beyond that I don't know, didn't have to do anything to mine.

I got a unit off EBAY that would not work beyond 20' and called Maverick for help.  I sent mine in and got a new one in exchange.  The new one worked good, and beyond the 20' range.

The frequency is not strong enough to shoot thru a metal service door or metal garage doors.

Their customer service was so good, that I ended up getting a Maverick Dealership out of the deal for my website.

Call them and get a new one.
