Masterbuilt smoker stopped working

Hi! New to the forum. Been smoking for the last 20 years with a Weber smoker and smaller SmokeHollow electric smoker. Upgraded to a 40" Electric smoker (MB 20072918) 2 years ago. We love it! Smoked turkey on Thanksgiving has been a favorite.

Used it on Father's day to smoke a brisket (14#). Checked the smoker every 1-2 hours. Went to check at 9 hours into the smoke, the control panel was off and never came back on. Tried unplugging/plugging it back in. Finished the brisket in the oven.
We bought a replacement control panel (off Amazon) and connected it, but it still doesn't turn on.
Could it be the element? Should we buy another control panel? Would love any suggestions on how to fix. Was hopping to smoke ribs and brisket for the 4th.
