Hello All!
I have a Masterbuilt MES 35b that I got second hand for Christmas. New to smoking and excited!!
My question is that per the manual for pre-seasoning I just turned on high for 3 hours in the last 45 minutes. Put in a half a cup of wood chips. I started it up and if I throw it on high it gets above 300° F.
Should I be concerned of that high heat or let it run? Also I read in other places to oil everything down and did not oil everything down on MES. Should I oil the insides?

The instructions seem very vague but maybe not and I'm just overthinking it.
