I have a spare pi 0 around. I am going to try to integrate the heater meter into my MES 40 bluetooth smoker. I am wondering if I can come up with a cool way to turn on the cold smoker attachment. I'll try to post more when I get things up and running (or at least start construction)

If anyone does this mod, I would highly suggest enclosing the 110 volt connections. The electrical tape isn't sufficient protection from little fingers, or accident prone pit masters.

I was thinking the same thing coveing over the screw terminals or getting it in a box but able to breathe and keep cool. Plus I'd make it plug and play so it's inside when not used. In the pic below my heating element access screw holes came strippedg fom MB from over tightening so I took the rubber insulation of the back of the plate and stretched the holes over the screw heads so they don't get worse and I can pull it off to periodically check the connections.
