I have made this about half a dozen time and I can't wait to make it again.  It keeps the steak very juicy and it is very flavorful.  I often let it marinate for a couple of days.

I actually overcooked it just a bit.  But as you can see, juice is still pouring out.

I recommend that everyone give this recipe a try.

3 lbs. flank

1/4 c ketchup

1 teaspoon prepared mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon of pepper

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/3 cup of red wine vinegar

2 Tablespoon of cooking oil

2 Tablespoon of soy sauce

2 Tablespoon o f Worcestershire sauce

Combine all the ingredients.  Pierce the meat on both sides.  Pour the marinate mixture over the meat turning it once for coverage on both sides.  Marinate for at least 12 hours turning the meat at least twice.  Then grill or cook in the broiler.

Anyway, I have been finding great recipes on this site so this is one of my favorites and I just wanted to share!

Happy Thanksgiving!

That looks awesome. What temp did you take it off the grill at?

I never measure the temp on grilled steaks. I just get the grill to around 500. Normally I like a nice crust and the inside very rare. With this I had to cook it a bit longer to make the woman happy so I try to meet in the middle. I normally just judge it by looks and the firmness of the meat. I'm pretty good with a grill. Hopefully, in a few years I can be as proficient as with a smoker!

That is a good looking steak. Thanks for sharing the recipe

I know this is an old post, but I have used this marinade twice now with excellent results. Used in on Porterhouse and Rib-eyes but with a shorter marinade time. I love marinades on steak and just think it flavors them up nicer than just SPG which I used for many, many years.

Looks delicious, I'm gonna have to try this! I love flank steak!
