Same in North Idaho. The ski resorts are really hurting. And I’m getting tired of doing endless laps on the one or two runs that are open.
No one in our fam has been up yet. Its gonna be a scary summer if it doesnt start dumping snow and rain in the spring.

3 people have died in a couple weeks skiing in CO, gotta wonder if its the concrete ice they are riding on. All three only involved the person who died, no tree hits, human collisions etc.

10-18"in the forecast with bitter cold from wind. Had soup yesterday and stir fry for tonight. Tomorrow we're having a beef tenderloin roast with taters.

Granddaughter is 9 months old today... grandma couldn't feed her carrots, and taters fast enough!
As far as weather, we are pretty lucky. Had a dusting of snow last Wednesday, but no snow or rain here now. Just negative digits at night, made it to 6 degrees F today, not bad without much wind.
Hope the rest of you stay safe and keep your electricity on!

Since I last posted, we've gotten three inches, big flakes coming down. Nothing to worry about, though. It has stopped. Will have to see if we get anymore tonight to decide if I have to break out the snow blower tomorrow. The sun has gone down and the temp is following. Supposed to be in the negatives tonight.

Guess I'll add what my wife is making in the kitchen as I type this in front of the wood stove. She is making chicken tenders from boneless/skinless breasts, and they are by far the BEST chicken tenders I have ever had in my life. Light breading well seasoned with ranch dressing for the dipping sauce. The bad thing about them is I eat them so fast, one right after the other, that I don't realize how much I stuff down my gullet until I go to get up. At least I have sweat bottom on for dinner.

In NW Oregon, we have had a long spell of dry, sunny, cold (for us, 28 degrees) and windy weather. Hell I'm still mowing the damned lawn every week. That mower should have been hibernating for months by now. The mountains are really suffering for snow pack. I have daffodils that should bloom this week - two months early. Nuts.
