The two pencil sized holes closest to the door are open and I sealed all the corners and bottom mounting holes so air comes in at the hinge and the two holes. The grease drain is plugged so all air comes in the chip loader hole and the bottom pan is foiled over the pan drain hole (unless I need to drain a packer brisket etc.) I built a rack tto elevate the Amnps.
If the mounting holes are open at the back where your 2.75" hole is, not as much air passes the Amnps. If you need more air, which I don't, crack the door instead of turning the door into Swiss cheese with drilled holes
