Congrats on the new smoker now go get something to smoke.

You have everything you need to smoke anything right out of the box!

Waiting on your first Qview with the new smoker

The only mod needed for the MES is to add a chimney to the vent for improved draft.

It works well without the chimney, but it is even better with it!

IKRUS, Evening.....Smoker box temp is usually off. Mine reads low about 25 deg.. which is no big deal... means I can run it 300 and it thinks it is only 275..... Dave

OK but being new to the "electric smoker"  my highest temp i can set is  275 so if it is  running cooler then that how do i increase temps  for when I'm doing poultry and like to run on the hotter side?

Ikrus, morning.... You will have to put a calibrated therm in the smoke box, set the smoker temp to say 225, and check the 2 temps.... If they are different, just make a note of it, adjust the electronic controller to account for the difference...

My smoker is at 220 when the controller reads 190..... I just compensate...

Do the temp check and get back with us..... Masterbuilt has great customer service and if something needs to be done, they will take care of you.....  Dave
