So I've been drooling all week looking at everyone's delicious smokes and knew I had to fire up the WSM. Thawed a butt in the fridge thinking I'd smoke tonight for a Sunday feast. Checked the weather and the forecast called for storms tonight clear today-change of plans. Rubbed last night (sorry no pics) and set the alarm for 5am. Fired up 1/3 chimney of KBB set up the WSM and pulled out the Maverick 732. Wouldn't turn on. Changed the batteries and no luck. WSM up to 250 good to go. Went old school and used my turkey fryer therm through the top vent, meats on. I check every 1/2 hr or so, rock solid 250. Decided to take a nap. Around 11:30 the wife wakes and says " honey it's pouring down rain". Not the best way to be awakened, temp below 200. Vents fully open and standing over the WSM with my golf umbrella. Temp recovered, rain let up and I pulled the pop up canopy out. All's good now and here we are at 203. A little time to rest and I'll update.
