Lowes has this on sale.

It's not a gen 2 or gen 2.5

It has a top vent, but has the gen 2 drip pan and water bowl.  Any mods to remove the hotspots from these units or just better to stay away, even at this price?

It's a gen 2. Rf controller not bluetooth. Front controller with no sun shade. Slant drip tray with baby water pan. Top left or side left vent =gen 2.

Great thanks for clearing that up. I thought all gen 2 had the vent on the side. Is it worth it at this price or should I stay away?

If you take out the slant drip tray/ water pan and put a 9×13 pan (or so) on the bottom rack, it should be a gen 2.5 with a rf remote controller. Which I prefer. I don't know about pricing.
