I was just given a Lowe’s exclusive MES 40” MODEL NO. 20075615 that seems to be a hybrid. It has the vent in the upper left side but has the stupid Gen 2 drip tray and water pan. What exactly is crappy on a Gen 2 and can I fix it with simple mods to make it something worth using? Or should I just sell it and move on? I am perfectly capable of and willing to modify it, but I don’t want to waste my time if it is still going to suck. I have a pellet tube and a Masterbuilt slow smoker add on so I figure I can add smoke, but that’s useless if the heating sucks
