Life without a thumb

Getting a block so you can watch? I would but that's me.
Drove a drywall screw through my left wrist years ago . I tried to back it out , but it was twisted up in the tendon . Ended up at the Hospital , and the hand guy had his kid with him , about 8 years old . Asked me if I cared if she came in .
Next thing I know , he's got my wrist cut open , and he's showing her all the different things in there and what they do ! " See what happens when I do this " and my thumb would move . Then some fingers .
I guess she's followed in his foot steps .

That would make fishing hard.
Yup. I use spinning gear in the surf and throw plugs 99% of the time so the left hand does most of the work on the retrieve. And much like guys who fish for largemouths I land stripers by the mouth and without a thumb that'll be difficult and with my luck I'll hook into a 40+lber and be by myself!

After reading this thread. It amazes me that more SMF members aren't part of the RIP group.

Stay safe everyone

My brother shot himself with a Hilti. That was not coming out on it's own for sure because god knows this guy Scotty tried like hell. That was a hospital visit.
Yep, new a guy that went to emergency room with a 2' square piece of subfloor foot nailed to. Screamed like a little Bi$ch with the sawzaw trying to cut him loose.
