I am finally coaxing a few tomatoes from my plants. I had one 3" one ready on my Gin Fizz plant. Was really psyched to see what it tasted like. So I picked this beautiful little tomato, and turned it around...and the back side was completely black and rotted.

We had a few that way, very disappointing. We grew mostly cherry and those almost never go bad plus they produce 1000's of fruit. It's too hot right now so our first round is over but they are about 12 feet all and as soon as Temps drop a little we'll get another huge round.

Serrano are mostly on pause over the heat but pur jalapeno plants are loving it, hundreds on the plants, getting a dozen every 3 days.

Dad mentioned wanting to grow in passing one time since we're legal here now so I surprised him.

Tbl spoon of Epson salt in a gallon of water. Pour it directly on ground around base of each plant. Won't help any fruit already set but the rest won't be affected.

Tbl spoon of Epson salt in a gallon of water. Pour it directly on ground around base of each plant. Won't help any fruit already set but the rest won't be affected.

Don't use Epsom salts. It screws up the calcium intake that causes blossom end rot.
Make calcium acetate by mixing 2 Tbl of ground egg shells with a pint of vinegar and let it rest 2 days. Use a Tbl of calcium acetate to a gallon of water.

Make calcium acetate by mixing 2 Tbl of ground egg shells with a pint of vinegar and let it rest 2 days. Use a Tbl of calcium acetate to a gallon of water.

Sandy and acidic soils can handle it and are prone to magnesium deficiency. Spraying that mixture on the leaves is best so both cations aren't competing for root uptake but makes a lot of ugly water spots on them.

That's what my grandaddy thought me to do and it's what I've used since I bought the place.

Breeder bud on another forum. Hindu Kush. Out of 12 got 9 plants looking like 6 ladies. One male popped up crazy fast. Super late start and mostly for fun grow. I have friends that started plants on Mother's day and they have beasts like 12' tall.

Well the plums are finished , had 2 large containers, but a lot more fell to the ground in the wind. These in the containers will become jelly, there were 2 kinds , we ate all the green plums ( there was only about 12 of the green plums as they were the root stock of a grafted fruit cocktail tree Mona bought me few years back , and it slowly turned back to the roof grafting stock. ) So mext year there should be a lot more.



As for my 2 little jalipeno plants , this is all i got out of it . Some might have gotten larger but starting to get close to the frosty nights soon. 16 small and almost some normal sized ones.

The pears and apples did really well, for the pears this is what we got. But still too hard to eat right now.
The squirrels and crows did get a few , hate the squirrls, they just take off the tree and take one bite and leave it , and go and try another one again later. 2 kinds of Pears , Bartlet and some Russets. Probally lost 3 dozen or so to the pests.

Forgot the picture of the apples , they are upstairs Mona is starting to make a few pies right now.

And the grapes are still in the bushes ( vines ) just about ready , also the tree rats have been picking at them . There should be a couple large bowls when ready to pick.

That's a beautiful bounty! Love those plums! Ours is still producing bell peppers galore.
