It sits backwards on my work space too. But once the speed is set all you need is the foot switch and use both hands to stuff. When you let off the foot switch the plunger will automatically back up just a whisker to take pressure off the can. Then when the can is empty the plunger automatically returns to the top. It took me a couple small runs to get used to it but I really like mine. Also the machine is fast so you will want the speed dial almost in the off position I mean just barely up from off. Once you get used to having control with the foot switch the process gets much more comfortable.Damn It Man... Guess what showed up on my doorstep today... As I said earlier... I see a dislike already without taking it out of the box... You see the counter it's sitting on know... That's my work station... So when I set the stuffer with the backside to the edge (for clamping purposes), The tube pointing out to the right... That's going to put the control/s facing away from me... Obviously I am going by the picture on the box only as I haven't unpackaged yet...
I don't imagine the controller is reversable?
