DB it is so easy to make, use a store bought crust.I puree the sweet Potatoes with a fork after baking.Always willing to share as the rest of SMF
I've never tried sweet potato pie either, that looks delicious Gary! I thought the wind was smelling nice blowing over from DV...![]()
And thanks to Richie for sharing the recipe!
I made up quite a bit more filling than would fit in the pies, so I just mixed the sweet and less sweet fillings and put them in an oven proof bowl. Then I put the bowl in the oven to cook along with the pies. Wasn't a fancy pudding bit sure was good.

Mo on the top of my recipe I said I puree them with a fork after baking.I just edited it so it is next to the sweet potatoes
Maybe I missed it in the recipe, but am I to assume the sweet potaoes are baked first then pereed with other ingredients ? The last time I worked with sweets I tried to make fries. Fries were good but the raw potatoes were hard as rocks, can"t imagine beating them with a fork, more like beating the fork with a potato.
That sounds good. Care to share the recipe?
My Lady makes a sweet potato casserole that is covered with pecans. Being the Yankee from "Upstate NY" that I am, I never had such a thing before I met her. She made it at Thanksgiving last year and my parents loved it. My Dad keeps asking her to make it when ever we have a family get together. I love the South, been here 16 years.
What? You didn't think the link I posted sounded good?
