Well, figured since I’m using the forum now not just reading it that I’d post yeaterday’s spread. Did bone-in turkey breasts with a diy mesquite rub I put togeather a while back (no brine) and some S&P. Threw on a ~5 lb butt with another rub I put togeather a while back...I think this one was S&P, brown sugar, onion and garlic powder, paprika, dry mustard, and maybe some oregano and cumin? I usually just mix up a rub right before I need it and rarely follow a recipe, and had this left over.

Anyways, rubbed and let these sit overnight. Pulled yesterday morning, got some pecan and oak sticks burning, and threw the meat on the smoker some time before 1000. Turkey ran till just after lunch and pulled it off. Butt ran till it hit ~205 IT around 5 pm. Bone just fell out after a short rest...kiddos were hungry so it didn’t rest long. My youngest wanted some regular baked beans after all my discussion on sides yesterday, so I threw some (with some trimmings and some chopped up leftover sausages I smoked the other day) on for about an hour or two with the meat.

Turned out amazing. Had to use some pretty green black oak sticks, so I was a little worried. Won’t be worried again...just can’t load the whole box with green wood. Smoke flavor was on point.

Everything looks delish. Got me thinking it is time to smoke another turkey breast. (Still got pulled pork in the freeze machine.)

Nice looking meal. It looks great.

Point for sure.
