Hi all. Looking for recommendations for kitchen/ poultry scissors. Not a fan of two loop scissors. Any recommendations? Want to be able to to easily get through cackbone removal. Maybe $50 or under price range. Also a boning knife or best for pre trimming big cuts like ribs & brisket. Appreciate all feedback. I enjoyed Bearded butchers videos who uses Victorinox knives but when sponsors throw equipment at you there’s bias.
 
In my experience, Victorinox boning knives are top notch. They're great for their value and they last pretty dang long. If you want just a decent enough one that's inexpensive, you could look into some of the Mercer Culinary knives.
 
My victorinox orange handle are dangerously awesome. Cut myself many a times cleaning them over the past three years cleaning them. Never while I'm trimming/cutting yet!

I am also a fan of Victorinox knives. I have 3 in my arsenal. 8" chef, 9" fillet, and a 6" Boning knife that is a semi stiff blade. They are all used regularly and hold an edge very nicely. They are quality knives and reasonably priced. Not a real help on shears though.

Maybe not a big help on kitchen shears. My wife brought her Chicago Cutlery shears when we got married 34 years ago. Need to be sharpened but still work really well. They still crack out a chicken backbone with ease.

Lots of good options out there, but the one recommendation I'd make is to get a pair that are spring loaded like the OXO ones posted above...

I was originally going to go with OXO but the Henckels were on sale and are also spring loaded.It just happened that they ended being outstanding otherwise it would've been the OXOs,either would be a great choice for the OP.
 
I have a high dollar set that are really bad from the get go. Bought a set of OXO only for trimming skin/meat from poultry, about any will bust bones but have trouble with the skin, I don't use the OXO on big bones as it wasn't made for that but it will cruse through rib bones on chicken breasts. Vitronics are great knifes,

Best thing to do is read some reviews. There are shears with bad features. Some are suggested here.
I have been on all suggestions. A couple had multiple reviews of broken blades. Possibly miss use. The OXO seem well worth $ very inexpensive but seem to have spring issues. I’m grateful for all feedback. When buying Amazon there are so many heavily “paid influencer “ no name brands.
