Not a chicken but a turkey.Warning... more enabling incoming. Now imagine those chickens on a rotisserie. I got one for Christmas and haven't used it yet. I can't wait to use it though. Just a thought.

Who assembled it? The handle on the lower half is upside down. The little ears point up to hang your grilling tools.

It was recommended here to get the premium model with removeable catch pan. also has hinged grate. $219.00Thats not the 135.00 model.
I've seen that before on store assembled kettles.LOL nice catch! I woulda missed that til you pointed it out!
...
Great price . You have a lot of bang for your buck with that .It was recommended here to get the premium model with removeable catch pan. also has hinged grate. $219.00
I was up at 6AM fixing that.I've seen that before on store assembled kettles.
John is a friend and I hope to bust his chops if he did the assembly.
I expect to see the kettle at the next South Florida gathering.
that was an awesome post. Always wondered if the snake worked. I have a thawed 8 piece chicken that might find out this afternoon. For the chicken I might try just using one basket.Great price . You have a lot of bang for your buck with that .
Here's an older thread about setting up a snake if you're interested .
Snake and Minion burn time and Temp data?
Hi All, I hope this post finds you ALL well and having great smokes. I was wondering if there is any data out there that tells us how long a snake or minion will burn for and at what temperatures for say a, 22" WSM or a 26" kettle? Just thought it would be interesting to know as I did a cook...www.smokingmeatforums.com
Also , I think the newer kettles have the " vane position " marked on the outside of the ring .
That will help you when adjusting the lower air flow .
I did a visual , and marked mine .
This is my 22 , but you can see the amount of gap at the vent .
Remember , on a sweep style clean out , that's times 3 .

This is my 26 . The first mark is fully closed .
Second mark is 1/4 open ( like above )
Last mark is fully open .

Like I said , yours should be marked , but just look in from the top and verify the marks and the location of the vent . Will help when adjusting temps . Doesn't take much either . Give it time to react .
thanks Y'all
I have been enabled.
Gotta love a new rig!
