Wildcats To Face Butler For Trip To Final 4

[font=&quot]SALT LAKE CITY -- [/font]Jacob Pullen made a 3-pointer with 31.2 seconds left in the second overtime Thursday night for the go-ahead points in second-seeded Kansas State's 101-96 victory over No. 6 Xavier in the West Regional semifinals.

Terrell Holloway answered with two free throws, but Pullen came back with two of his own. Then, Xavier's Dante Jackson missed a 3-pointer that would've tied it and the Wildcats (29-7) iced it.

They will play fifth-seeded Butler on Saturday for a trip to the Final Four.

Xavier's Jordan Crawford hit a 35-foot shot with 4 seconds left in the first OT to tie it. Holloway sent the game into the first overtime by making three straight free throws after being fouled while shooting from behind the arc with 5 seconds left.

Crawford led Xavier (26-7) with 32 points and Pullen led the Wildcats with 28, including eight in the second overtime.

It was a fantastic game for sure. I stayed up way to late to watch it though.

It was a great game. I always wondered which school you cheered for, Beer-B-Q, and as a Mizzou grad, I have to say, I'm glad it's the cat, and not the stupid bird.

Actually, both... I actually have a few hours at KU and also graduated from University of Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center and also their EMT Program.

lol...oops! Either way, My Big 12 loyalties will be rooting for K-State the rest of the tourney.

I tend to lean toward K State, however as long as it is a Kansas Team in the Final 4 that is what counts...

My boys will be looking make it into the Elite Eight tonight for the first time in school history. If the Tennessee-Ohio State game goes into double OT, my wife may need to call 911. Heck, she may need to call 911 if it's close at all. Go Vols!

I hear ya Big Orange. When Mizzou was playing UCONN last year in the elite 8....well, my wife and I still don't talk about that!

Last nights game should not have went that far, K State blew a 15 point lead and should be ashamed of themselves.

And had a good shot to win at the end of regulation AND the first OT. Xavier's D, especially at the end of regulation was worse than I'd expect your average Jr. High team's.

And the missed early foul at the end of regulation that led to Xavier shooting 3 FTs instead of 2.
