Hello from North GA. I am have been cooking outdoors for years but just started really learning more ways to smoke meat. I purchased a Lang 36" earlier this year after helping smoke meat on one of their large units for 4th of July cookouts. I look forward to reading about how other cook items on a smoker and sharing some of my results. So far I have been using Hickory but just picked up with Pecan and Cherry to blend in.

Hello and welcome to SMF! Sounds like you are getting down to business. Try to get some Peach wood, since you are there in GA. I haven't tried it yet, but lots of folks here like it.

Would you mind updating your profile to include your location please? It helps folks when answering questions to know what part of the world you are in.

Thanks!
