this saturday i went and got me a Masterbuilt electric smoker.  i am new to this so if yall can hook me me up with tricks of the trade.  i have hickory and mesquite wood.  has anyone had any luck with the pellets

I see this is your first post. When you get a chance will you drop by roll call so everyone can give you a proper SMF welcome?

As far as pellets in a MES. Get a AMNPS and you will never regret it. For tricks try the search bar at the top of any page.

Happy smoken.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a hot again East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about                        everything.

Use the Mesquite sparingly it is very strong, mix it with oak or pecan

Actually , set down with it and just play , I mean heat it up , (season now and get it over with) as high as it will go , check the therms. ,on spot or off the grid ?

Does it hold heat well
