Just joined the forum and have a new dehydrator

I recently bought the Nesco FD-80 square dehydrator and I'm nervous about using it the first time. I could use some tips and tricks to using it. I mean I love beef jerky, but don't want to screw it up. My favorite is beef sweet and spicy. Obviously I want to try other flavors as I go along. I did buy two extra trays and have a good load of Yoshida's Teriyaka sauce and plenty of spices for whatever I may need.
