Hello guys,

I bought my first smoker (ECB style) last summer at a garage sale for $30 brand new in the box and I've been hooked ever since.  Living in Michigan our "smoking season" on ECB's is quite limited to the summer months.  I even had trouble maintaining temps on a windy fall day and because of that I haven't been able to smoke as much as I would like and have done mainly chicken and pork.  Until now!  Got a MES30 for Christmas and already did spare ribs last weekend and turned out pretty good.  I'm totally excited to be able to smoke in the colder months now.  (Although I am interested to see how the MES30 will hold temps in the deep cold that we sometimes get in Michigan.)  I look forward to learning a ton of info and techniques on here and being able to put them into practice.  This forum is such a great resource and thank you to everyone that makes this possible and maintained.
