Had my July 4th BBQ Belated Happy Independents Days to all of you

Had 4 Chicken Breast and 10 Drumsticks

Rotisserie for the breast used the prongs and tied

Used indirect heat a small snake half way around

Set the Vortex up with some Royal oak that was left from my brisket

using a Strike Afire that I broke into 4 pieces

these work great

No sense wasting that heat so I put the chimney on top

Holding 298*

Took a peak after 2 hrs

Took a little over 3 hours to hit 170*

Breast were fantastic

Now the WSM had the Vortex and sticks

This worked great for me not having to bend Temp held steady 340*

Fastest I have ever seen sticks cook 45 minutes they were at 180*

Still have lots of fuel so some Italian Sausage

You can't serve them without Peppers & Onions

Kids wanted Hot Dogs

Thanks for watching

Richie

Dang that looks good Richie!

I know I say this every time I see someone cook something with that vortex.

I have to get one of those.

Point to you!
