John Anderson Passed away Oct 21 2026 RIP

I just heard this on the radio this morning on my way to work.

He was a personal favorite of mine, with a voice like no other, Loved all his albums and , playing them right now .

RIP , John, I don't think he got the air play that he really should have .

Playing Seminole Wind, Long Black Vail next.

David

Saw him twice at Riverport . Open air concert arena by me . I agree he didn’t get the attention he should have .

Got to know his dad thru his hunting camp. We were the house band at a restaurant/ opera house and he was there every weekend during the season. Brought John on several occasions for me to meet him.
Also had the pleasure of being an opening act for John a couple of times.
Never really talked about music just hunting and fishing. Very nice and down to earth guy. Sad news for sure. RIP big guy🙏

That had to be cool my friend, JA was one of me favs. Such a unique voice!

Her brother was on the sofa, eatin' chocolate pie
Her mama was in the kitchen, cuttin' chicken up to fry
Her daddy was in the backyard, rollin' up a garden hose
I was on the porch with Charlotte, feelin' love down to my toes

Yeah David just one those right place at the right time experiences.
I believe his dad went by Jug. He was a character but John was pretty quiet and didn't want to attract a lot of attention when out like that. He never forget where his roots were AFAIk.

Was fortunate enough to play around a lot of the big singers Justn , back in the day as the kids call it 😆. A few jerks along the way but most are normal folks who caught a good break.
Seminole Wind is still a favorite.
