I am making up my first batch of rub, wal mart Paprika bottle says 2.12 oz. came up to 1/2 cup in my measuring cup which would be 4 oz. Is this a weight vs volume thing. thanks Kirk

IMHO, you are correct. The 1/2 cup is by volume and the 2.12 oz is by weight. Which would you prefer to carry around, a bushel of feathers or a bushel of rocks?
