Going to try some jamaican jerk chicken around the vortex tonight.  Have it marinating from last night and I was wondering which wood I should use since I don't have pimento.  I have at home hickory, apple, mesquite, and cherry.  Any opinions on which would be the closest in flavor to the pimento?  Thanks!

You're not going to find a direct substitute for pimento wood, but apple is what I use for jerk, and think it would be your best bet.

I've never tried it but I have a friend who adds a lot of ground allspice to the water he's soaking his wood chips in when doing jerk. I've never tried his jerk chicken either so I have no opinion on his final results, but it might help somewhat.
