So basically $11.92 for an 8# boneless roast. Still a good deal. I pay about the same for a bone in 8 pounder on sale elsewhere.

Down side is you have to hit 140° IT in 4 hours if it's been deboned, if cooking whole. I'd take that deal and grind for sausage.

The one package I can kind of read looks like it says 17.49#, 2.49 lb and total price for 2 boneless butts is 43.53.

So 8.00 off the package would be just shy of 50 cents a pound off. So that is about $1.99 a pound.

not sure about other costcos but maybe this sale is cuz we are having our Utah state holiday what not today? Pioneer days or what ever we call it for an excuse to send potential sausage making money up into the night sky with the wrong kind of smoke (fireworks) to annoy my dog

Last year, a buck twenty nine /lb was a good deal, compared to the usual $.99/lb we always saw on butts a couple times a month in years before. This year, it's been $1.49/lb sporadically with $1.99/lb being more regular.
Wish we had that deal. Pork is steady at 2.50 a pound here. Goes on sale for between 2-2.25 a pound.

It all cycles if you watch it , and know when It happens . My guess is they offered the 8 bucks off because of that . Dropped to $1.59 a pound for bone in here overnight . I'll wait another day , then go grab a couple . Was $1.89 . Should drop 1 more time before it settles in .

Insane price for pork butt. By the time you figure the weight of the bone and all that is going to render out during cooking, that's robbery for the actual edible meat that's left.
