With the chickens being killed last week. We got a new coop even and last night the 20' run collapsed from the ice build up on it, guess I didnt get enough off.

I need this right now :emoji_astonished:

My fault really for not removing all the snow and ice. Good we didnt loose any more chickens.

Sorry the run collapsed, just the kind of event we don’t need.

I do admire the way you recover though. That’s first class grieving!

Looks like the chickens are still alive so focus on the positives and keep on keeping on!

Man, I know the feeling. lately it feels like: If I didnt have bad luck I would have any luck at all. You might relate to that.

That sucks Rick hope the weather gives you time to fix it up before you get more chickens

The Blanton's will help ease the pain, but at least the rest of your chickens are OK...

Thanks

Yeah we got most of the heavy ice off the run. The run poles are history now. Im not used to the heave shovel stuff anymore :emoji_astonished:. Animal control pretty much told me that they have no contact with anyone who knows or owns the dogs. Baby chic buying time in Feb. Going with 30 assorted brown, green & blue egg layers.

I have a few backups when the blantons gets low. :emoji_sunglasses:

Nice collection! I see you have one of the older bottles of Duke. Used to get those for about $20 here, but when they went with the new label, it mysteriously doubled in price.

Rick now you need more of that to ease the pain from shoveling. The way the weather is going I'm hoping you have a big enough supply to get you through the rest of winter. Of course you'll need more stock for the heat of summer

Thanks y'all

Remaining chickens are doing pretty good from all the cold and snow. I got get out there when we get better weather and get things all squared up.

Going with a few outdoor wifi solar cameras, one in the run, one in the coop and other in the tree. Still nobody has come forward about the dogs.

One of our egg customers offered to replace all my chickens. Told her thanks but you dont need to do that. Soon as the girls get back on track with the eggs she is going to get 5dz for free.

Thanks

@BGKYSmoker
Have you tried aging a cheapish whisky in that B.T barrel?
Does it help the flavor/ oakieness, mellow it or add to the taste?
I like the looks of those barrels and often thought of buying one to fill with an inexpensive whisky to see if it helps the flavor.
Thanks.
Dan.
