This is my second butt using Jeff's rub ,I  took some of the rub and blended with some OJ and injected my butt ,,On smoker 15 hours and is as tender as could be with great flavor.. Happy Labor Day

Sounds great good idea to use oj! What type of wood did you use?

I have a friend who always injects oj in his pork butts and let's it sit overnight. it adds a good flavor and he says the acid helps tenderize the meat. I've yet to have some of his pulled pork I didn't like.

I used hickory for this run and I've not yet done pics. ..will work on it I know you eat with yours eyes first
