As information changes about me I have been wanting to update my roll call thread ( seen in my signature ) to list new information about me, my smokers, etc...

If I "edit" my original post does it show back up in everyone's "New Post" Search?

Is there a limit on the number of edits a post can have, or how old of an original post can be edited?

I don't really want to bump my post every time I update it because I do not want it to be annoying to everyone, but I would like to keep it updated so if I find myself in a pickle and need some help everything can be found in one place for the people who are helping me.

It isn't annoying to me. Now the folkz who go and post on all 3 or 4 pages of roll call threads at once

Go for it Rhankinsjr it doesn't bother any of us here I'm sure. You go ahead and change what ever you wish.

No, it does not. No one will know it is updated though unless they go back and read the whole thing.

If you've tried something new or acquired something new or noteworthy, don't be shy about starting a new thread about it. Others might find it interesting as well.

How ever you want to change your roll call post is up to you. But for a suggestion, if it is a change or something you have added to your equipment, many SMF members list their equipment in their signatures, that is also something you can update when ever you like and everyone can see each and every time you post.

You can also post information you want people to see in your public profile...

Just go to the top menu bar and click User CP and you can edit your signature, profile, etc...

I was wiped out in the computer crash of january-originaly joined in nov.2008.I dont have a roll call anymore and honestly very few people prolly read em....Updating your signature/profile is best way as mentioned...

All good here....Folks will get to know you thru posts etc...
