This is the actual instructions from a pkg of choice beef ribs.

 word for word.

 1.preheat oven to 350 deg.

 2. season  both side of rib rack w/ your favorite bbq seasoning .

 3. brush both sides of rib rack w/ bbq sauce or marinade.

 4. Place rib rack(s) in oven bag.

 5. pour 1/4 - 1/2 cup of your favorite bbq sauce or marinade in the bag.

 6. bake for approximately 2 1/2 hrs. cook till minimum internal temp of 155 deg..

TO INCREASE TENDERNESS BOIL RIBS IN BOILING WATER FOR A MINIMUM OF 20 MIN. before grilling or baking.

Don't think i'll be following their recomendations.

This is an old restaurant trick as a short cut, they will grill it with a BBQ sauce and it will taste like it was in a grill for a long time and the meat will fall of the bone. but it taste mashed

Until I got my first smoker, we always boiled ribs, covered them in sauce & grilled them. They were pretty good.
