My 2-probe Inkbird died after 45 days. I am now in the market for a new one, but don't want to go with Inkbird again.

Suggestions?

Your probe should have a one year warranty, I think. Did you try to contact inkbird? Inkbird is a sponsor on this site, maybe they will see this post and help you out.

Picked up a thermopro Tp829 just recently, but haven't had a chance to give it a workout yet so can't give any recommendations on it except for I tried out the working range which was very good, even though metal buildings.

Yep, think I would contact Inkbirdbbq Inkbirdbbq and get it taken care of. I've never had any of their probes fail. What caused the failure, do you know? And someone mentioned you have had several probes fail...sounds unusual. Are you submersing them in water? I've had several there's over the years and no issues. Including this cheap one for about 15 bucks from Walmart, wife dropped in in hot oil by mistake, was totally submerged. Dang thing still works!

Can see oil in it still.
