I'm not opposed to advertising to help support this website, but is anyone else noticing that it's starting to get carried away. Especially the infolinks popups that started showing up on the bottom of my screen and now they're showing up at the top also. I know it's not my computer as I can go to other websites and not see them at all. It's getting to the point where I'm not visiting this site as often. I'm getting frustrated and tired of dealing with it. I'll close them only to have them reappear when I visit another thread.

Rant off.

I'm fully aware of that Al, and like I mentioned I'm not against the advertising. It's the placement of said ads. Most sites that I visit have their ads on the side margin of the page. That way they don't interfere with the sites content. Smoking meat forums has always had advertising that I remember, but never as intrusive as it has become in the last few weeks.

Mines really bad , but I think my membership is up . I need to re new . Crashes my internet when I try to bring the site up .

Gosh fellas, I'm a premier member so I don't get any of that stuff, but if it's getting bad enough to keep you off of here then I would PM bmudd14474 bmudd14474 or TulsaJeff TulsaJeff and let him know. He would be able to give you an answer.

Me too . Talked to Brian last night . I just need to re new . Stuffing some breakfast sausage now , but gonna re up later today . More than worth the price for me .

Considering the amount of money I've spent on grills, smokers, accessories, food, etc; the cost of membership is a non-factor to me. Like chopsaw said, more than worth the price!

5GRILL, the amount of money it costs to become a paid member is irrelevant and I agree it's worth every penny. However, I'm not the only person living in my household and my wife and I have to agree on what to spend our disposable income on. Unfortunately trying to persuade her that a yearly/lifetime membership to a smoking forum isn't going to go over very well. I also visit other forums as a non-member and haven't encountered this particular problem. If I was looking to join another forum and I saw that a third to half the page was taken up by advertisements I would seriously think twice about joining. Sorry if this comes across as me picking on you 5GRILL it's not meant that way. I'm just frustrated that this is all of a sudden happening.

Chris , I agree that seems to me something has changed . I have pc's that I built myself that are pumped up enough to handle all the things trying to load . My off the shelf laptop can't take it . I'm not getting ads , but the waiting for this and that to load is very frustrating . I agree , My wife passed at an early age , but I never spent house money on personal stuff without her blessing .

I didn't think you were picking on me at all Chris, and I can understand your frustration. I belong to other sites that have gone crazy with the ads, and their placement. Hopefully the mods can correct the problem.

We found a issue with one of the ad vendors we use and have disabled it until they get it resolved. Please let us know if there are other issues that come up.

Thanks.

All anyone has to do is pay for a year and it goes way. Simple
