Beautiful day here in the great North East. Sunny skies and temps in the lower 40's. Well, I went to the local grocer this morning and found a few things to throw on the 22". Lets get it started:

First the Beer pole is back for another season:

Then a couple of Porters. $10.00/pd. I better not screw this up. Seasoned with salt and pepper:

The Vortex flipped upside down:

First steak on and flipped:

Second verse same as the first:

Off the hot coals:

...and the money shot:

Since the coals are hot. I might as well cook supper for my weekend shift:

I like BBQ sauce on my ham steak so....

I salute the beer pole , the season has started , lol

Nice steaks , BUT that ham, that is how I like mine done also, I do that on Sundays for breakfast on the bbq
while the eggs are a scrambling. Beautiful

That all looks awesome Chris my invitation must have gotten lost :emoji_laughing:

Chris, that all looks delicious and my mouth is watering. I never thought of BBQ sauce on grilled Ham steak. Gotta try that. Those Porters are perfectly cooked. Great job. Mets fan here, but I salute the Beer Pole.

Great steak Chris, you nailed it! I need a beer pole as well, was a great day down here in the 50's. Washed the car, walked on the roof fixing siding and lit the kettle with the vortex flipped. will post up later.

Awesome looking cook! And glad the beer pole got to come out and play as well!

Perfect! Who ever knew that a beer on a post could mean so much to so many! That meat looks perfect, I love the idea of doing the vortex as an upside down sear. I’ve only done that by accident🤣 Great work!

Kettle is the king of grilling!
1 of those porterhouse would be more than a meal for both of us. Wife demands much less pink though

All right that's it! I'm installing a beer Pole!...
All looks great chris!!... I'm a fan of bbq on my ham steaks too.... Also a mix of brown sugar and mustard.... Enjoy the PBRs!!
