Piney was good enough to start this group up for Illinois! Hopefully we can get a good number of folks joined and see where it leads, it would be awesome to get a gathering together at some point!

Hi, I'm Steve from Dorchester (West of Litchfield, South of Carlinville, next door to Gillespie and Bunker Hill).  Smokin for a year and half, have UDS, mini WSM, MES 30, and 2 webers. Smoke somthing about once a month.  Did a turkey for thanksgiving, think it was a hit - no one died from it!

Me and a Buddy smoked a couple birds for a Christmas party, but in a moment of cloudy judgement I failed to take pictures, lol, so as the saying goes, No Q View, it never happened!

I smoked a Ham and a Turkey on Christmas day. Sadly I have no pictures of either, was to busy cooking everything else for the meal.

I smoked my first Boston Butts in our MES 40.  It took 20 hours!!  turned out excellent though.  still a bit perplexed about the time

Hey there everybody. Thanks for the invite jrod62. I have been smoking for about three years now. I have two GOSMs and a Weber Kettle. I am mostly a pork guy but I did do my first brisket this past weekend and it turned out great so I will for sure be doing some more of those in the near future.

I live north of Champaign/Urbana about 25 miles in a small town called Gibson City. I try to fire up my smoker once a week or so. Glad to be a part of this group.
