iGrill2 problems

I just bought an iGrill2 and decided to use it for smoking my brisket. After a certain time, the screen on the thermometer shuts off but the thermometer itself is still on. I can still view the temperature when I press the power button. Does anyone else have this problem or is it a normal thing?

That is normal and is how it works. You should be monitoring it on your phone or other device like an iPad.

Yea, this is just a battery saving feature. You can still scroll through your probe temps by using the buttons on the base, but really the real point of having the iGrill2 is to use the app for stuff like that.

Awesome! Thanks guys. I thought it wasn't working right cuz my phone kept disconnecting, but I got it figured out and it worked great.
