So 2 weeks ago on Tuesday (our trash pickup day), the driver came close to splitting out container in half.
Completely cracked on one side and around the corners to to the sides.

In WasteManagement's defense, they have a 3rd party company responsible for the following:

Got scheduled to have it replaced last Tuesday, so Monday night, I placed it at the edge of our driveway.
Didn't get picked up.
Called WM again and was told they are not allowed to come on to customers property.
It was at bottom of driveway, so he/she could have grabbed it from the sidewalk. WTF!!! moment no. 1

Got rescheduled for yesterday. Again a no show.
About 4:45PM I called WM again. It was rescheduled for Today (Tuesday).
WM had placed an order to have our pickup guy take our bags, since unsure when new one would arrive and current would probably tear in half if they try to pick it up.
They use the arms that clamp from side.

So, about 45 minutes ago, I went to take are trash bags on the garage floor down to the curb.
Low and behold, there was the new trash can, IN MY DRIVEWAY, about 6' up in it. WTF!!! moment no.2

I must have missed the fine print where it said they can't pick on up in the driveway, but OK to put one in the driveway.
Unfreakin' believable!

Trash can damage:
Ironically I went out to put up my empty cans, and noticed the one can was on its side.
I lifted it up and noticed some debris in the street, the wheel hub had come off!
WHY?
The driver does not let the can come down completely, moving away before the can is fully on the ground.
Seen it done many times.

I have a new can delivered about every six months, instead of washing it out when it gets funky. I just say the can is leaking, my garbage man turned me onto that. He said they check then repair the old totes, so let them do it.

Where I live, garbage service is optional and cost $100/quarter. I live less than 2 miles from a collection station and carry my garbage, including yard waste and recyclables, there for basically free, even though I know nothing is really free...

At least all that happened in the same week...

Took two weeks for the trash service I dropped to come get their cans. Dropped them because for a year they sent one truck on recycle week and dumped the trash and recycling in the same truck. I asked when this would be fixed and they told me if i was passionate about recycling I should take it in myself and then list where to take it. I was like I pay you to take you ****.

That reminds me of years ago buying new garbage cans and trying to get them to take the old ones.

No amount of signs or notes would work. I even put them inside lawn garbage bags and they took them out of the bags and still left them. (I know they were messing with me at that point!)

When I finally caught up with them to ask in person he laughed and said "It's an unwritten rule, you never throw away the can". I thought it was hilarious!

They charge us $25 a month to tear up our garbage cans 😂😂😂

mine is buried in my $16K/year property taxes so have no idea. At least they take almost anything I put out there.

WM is all you needed to say. It took almost 2 months after my father died to get the two bins picked up.

I miss the days when the mob ran the garbage pickup.
Are they not running the government now???? Guess they are to busy for garbage pickup.

WOA! Thats a hefty tax bill. People here complain all the time about property taxes, yet they are not much more than I paid in SLC and far lower than your.
