Ideas on raising the charcoal grate on Weber 22?

I like the idea of Vortex but what stops me is the hottest area is centered in center of the cook grate .
I need more cooking area (that's as hot as the sun) to do a rapid fajita sear job, so how would I do that if the highest heat is reduced to the outlet diameter of the Vortex under the cook grate?
