The smoke turned out great but there was like no meat on these "shiners". But it was for his cooking merit badge. So he planned it and bought it. Five hour smoke with cherry wood on the old Brinkmann. Not bad for a 14 year old.

Looks Tasty! Should be worthy of a merit badge!

I haven't been buying ribs lately. They all have looked so skinny.

Great job on keeping the smoking tradition going on in your family. I taught my Son how to smoke & now he is the smoking Guru in his neighborhood!

It is delightful to see the younger generation take on outdoor cooking

.

Similar to what Al did, I purchased a cooker (Davy Crockett) for my oldest son. His stick burner friends laughed when he brought the cooker on training stints, but now admit that he is the "go to" guy for ribs.

Every success a dad has with his kids counts as a big win.
