I have a chargriller with SFB that I purchased from Lowes a few years back. The SFB does not close flush anymore which is letting a lot of air in and I am having problems smoking. I do not want to buy a new SFB, and I wanted to know if there is anyone that can suggest an easy modification to this? I have be using foil to fill the gaps, but that does not work. Thanks.

The door to the firebox is not closing.

I have the same problem with my sNp where the door is open too much and I have a simple mod I use.
I'll have to wheel the smoker outside and put my "mod" on and get a picture, I'll post it in a few minutes.
Nothing special but it definitely works.

I look forward to seeing your mod. Thanks.

POPS,

Where could I get a gasket? Is there anything in particular I should be looking for? Thanks.

Ok, so all I do is use my old smoker, my electric Brinkman and put it up againtst the door towards to side.
I always burn my wood before using it and just kept the wood on there but when the door stopped sealing properly I butted it up against the door and it still allows for more than enough adjustable air flow and if I want to run the temps hot I just move it away a little and let even more air in. Though I don't use that smoker for smoking anymore I still like it to feel useful.

So not really a mod in the traditional sense but it's something that works great.
