Well the wife has been bolling what seems like a lot in my dutch oven lately, so I thought I would reinforce the seasoning. I lathered it up in crisco and put it in the grill where I promptly forgot about it. After about 6 hours at just under 500 deg, I remembered... and shut the grill down and let it cool slowly. First thing morning I walked out to a fine coat of rust. crap. I guess I cooked the seasoning right out of it. I never thought about it but I guess it makes sense.
Its not warped so Im sure it will be fine after some elbow grease. Did I say Crap?!?
