I intended on making party ribs.

after reading SmokinAl's post last week I wanted to give it a shot. I can't find decent ribs down here that aren't sky high.
Found a slab of St Louis ribs at the Latin grocery. They were still $3.99/lb.
No brand name. Hey looked fairly straight through the cryo-pack. Got home and the was some shiners, o I decided againt party ribs. i I proceeded to fire up the kettle. I still think some ribs I've seen are "machine cut" bcause the bones seemed short compared to the width of the slab. Oh well, it's Sunday, so on with the show. As always, the kettle ran fine. 275 for 2 hours, did the wrap with some squirt butter, some brown sugar, and a shake or two of my home made rub.
back on at 275. opened up foil and gave them a quick swipe of unmolested Sweet Baby rays. Let sauce set and took off to rest. Only thing I did alittle different was some SPG on the meat side 1/2 hour before the rub. besides the wonky bones, they came out good with the infamous bite through. Will try party style next time.

Local store up here has had full slab spares for $2.19/ for a couple of weeks.

We were never Aldis shoppers until my wife discovered she loves the ground beef. Now we stop and shop pretty regular. Started shopping the other meats and found the ribs were pretty good. I haven't tried the chicken or whole beef yet.
Yep, bags and remember the quarter.

The wings are really good as well... Fresh, family packs... And they are really good size... Chicken Legs... Same thing... They go on sale all the time for 89/99 cents a lb... About 5 bucks for the big family pack... You sure as hell can't beat that...

Carol and her husband John have been attending for many of years... Age has finally caught up and they just can't do it anymore...

Then John , @Fueling Around, and his wife started to come so I pegged him with John 2 ...

Then comes along John, @fxsales1959, and his wife... So obviously we had to peg him with John 3 ...

All three, and thier wives, are great people... Glad to have them join us...
