How many can I fit in the freezers. (8 I hope )
Do I make more pulled pork ? (still got a lot in freezer from last smoke)
Time to make more sausage ? ( what kind ? )
See what kind of problems I have to put up with when they put butts on sale.
Guess I just need to man up and deal with it

We are going to buy a freezer with income tax refund but that still a month or more away.

Last night I had some running around to do in near by town that has 4 Schnucks stores so I was going to hit all 4 to stock up some more

(they limit 2 per visit) First one pick up 2, the second one only had ones that was sliced up, 3rd one and 4th stores was out. Was going to

smoke 3 today and make some brats. So thats on hold until I get back up there tonight. Hope they get some more in.

try going back into the same store. worst they can say is no. one of our local stores will let me bring a basket full of what ever it is i want. then ring up the limit several times.

Actually Yes.... Lehighton Beverage is now Dunbar's correct?  or was it the beverage place on Bridge Street near 7th?  I actually have lived in Lehighton my whole life.  I bought a piece of land out in the sticks just on the east of the west penn township line near andreas a few years ago and I cant wait to build something there because when I am smoking in town I tend to get way too many people wanting to be friends.  haha....

That what I do, load up and freeze them. I would give 4 or 5 days to defrost. In a bind you can put them in a pot and run cold water over them. ( not the best way but will do the job)

I have done it both ways. But "smoke once, serve twice" is a nice way to go.

Our local QFC stores used to put butts on sale for $.99-no limit- a couple times a year, but since they got bought out by Kroger, the best I've seen lately is $1.49.

Well in That case $1.29 sounds like a great deal.  I'll probably pickup a few and freeze them.  Maybe I'll smoke 'em this weekend and reheat the following, its tricky to time smoking with Church sunday morning and the game in the early afternoon (or late afternoon this year I think).  At least then it will free up the smoker for possibly trying to make ABTs for the first time.

Cheapest price I have seen in two years, so I filled the freezer.

Have heard meat will go up next year?  They are saying a delayed reaction to this year's drought with another drought possible next year?

Who knows what to believe any more?
