We're hunting private property in AL's Zone B, its pretty much wide open for us.
No tags required, simple reporting and the property owner tells us what we can harvest, e.g. 8pts or better outside the ears, and mature does with no young.

Over a decade hunting this property and never seen a warden.

I spend a lot of time trout fishing at a local state management area and with just enough cold weather the ponds are enough iced over that today was a no-go but there were more than a few folks hunting.

I haven't hunted in many years and big game is just something I have no desire to do at this point in my life but small game I will absolutely do.At this point in the season I'm not going to invest in a license until next year.

In RI as of 2025 small game hunting with air rifles is now legal provided minimum requirements are met,.177-.30 cal with a fps of 700+ which all mine exceed and then some.So today I broke out the Diana 48 (.22) and will make sure tomorrow that it's on point as it's been a while since I shot it.

The 6.5 Gredel strikes again! Last night our oldest daughter pulled the trigger for the 3rd year in a row making it 3yrs, 3 shots, 3 deer. Her younger sister was with this time learning. Now tonight we will see if she can repeat her sister's luck.
Hunting has been tough going this year with low deer numbers but these girls have been sticking it out and going every chance we get. Got a great story out of it and smiles all around.
