I am from Texas but am in the Army stationed at Ft Drum, New York.

Just getting into the smoker thing. I am a long time BBQ'er but my grill needed replacing and I bought the Smoke Hollow 4 in 1. I know it's not top of the line but I wanted to see how much I actually used it first.

Still putting the grill together but I had surgery yesterday on my foot and am at a standstill till I can get up and around. I got the JB weld and need to mod the grill before I use it. (once it's assembled of course)

I bought Jeff's rub and BBQ sauce recipe and am looking forward to trying them. The rub is almost exactly what I used on my own but I'll give it a shot.

I have been a propane griller for awhile (I know, it's heresy to some) I live in Northern New York and the propane is nice to have when you are trying to grill at 20 below!!! That's the reason I bought the 4 in 1 (so I could have my propane and the smoker). I was debating between a nice Weber and this one but I really wanted the smoker.

    Looking forward to this site!!!

Hueydude, welcome to SMF!  Thank you for supporting the site and a special thank you for your service.

Absolutely no worries about your smoking equipment.  It is always fun learning to smoke, grill, and cook on whatever we choose. If you ever have any questions there are lots of folks with the SH 4-in-1 that can give you answers.

I know the anxiety of waiting unexpectedly to assemble and use your grill.  I got my WSM last Christmas from my wife but she wouldn't let me use assemble it or use it until it was closer to Christmas.  You have a better excuse!

Enjoy it when you get it together and be sure to share what you learn. Q-views (pics) are always welcomed!

    Happy Smoking!
