Spent my first 28 years in Texas, in the Houston and Galveston areas.

All of that time I was smoking on an offset smoker. After I moved to Washington 8 years ago and had less time I moved over to a cheap electric smoker (masterbuilt 30). It's been fine. I got it mostly because I just don't have the time or patience to babysit an offset all day anymore.

I've actually been lurking on here for a looooong time to get recipes and ideas, but now I have my own question and decided to go ahead and join up.
